CBSE Board Results 2023: Required Passing Marks

It is important to note that the passing marks required for CBSE board exams may vary depending on the specific examination and subject. However, the general guideline says that students must achieve at least 33 percent in each subject to pass the exams. Additionally, a passing grade of “E” or above is required in every subject that is subject to internal evaluation unless exempted.

If a student fails in five external examination subjects, they will be placed in a compartment only designed for that subject. The consequences of such an occurrence are that they will have to undertake the examination for that specific subject again during a subsequent testing period, and their official certification will remain withheld until they have successfully passed said subject.

It is important for students to work hard and prepare thoroughly for their CBSE board exams in order to achieve good marks and avoid the need for re-examination or compartment exams. Good luck to all students taking the CBSE board exams in 2023!
