IPL 2023 will start from March 31, BCCI has announced the complete schedule, so let’s know 5 special things about the schedule that you need to know. If BCCI starts IPL on 8th April then very few dates are available and too much compromise could have to be done so BCCI kept it on 31st March only though BCCI was already considering that IPL should be started from 27th March but finally It has been decided that the first match between the team of Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will be played at Ahmedabad, the home ground of Gujarat.
Where will the first match of IPL 2023 be played?
IPL 2023 Start Date: The reason for keeping the first match in Ahmedabad has also come to the fore. BCCI has deliberately kept the IPL opener in Ahmedabad because from the very first match itself, BCCI wants India’s biggest ground where maximum number of people can sit together and watch the match. BCCI is also preparing for grand opening ceremony along with grand performance at Narendra Modi Stadium, which can be held on a very large scale in Ahmedabad as this stadium has a very modern facility.
Where will the final match of IPL 2023 be played?
IPL 2023 Final Date: The final of IPL is also reportedly going to be held in Ahmedabad itself. The final of IPL will be held on 28th May. This is a short IPL which will be of about 70 days. There was a big misconception that IPL will last longer and that too has been cleared by BCCI. This time also IPL will be of 70 days only, secondly it is clear that BCCI will organize the final in Ahmedabad only.
In how many venues will the game be organized?
For the first time in 4 years, the game will be played again in Multiple Venues, BCCI has kept total 12 cities and 12 Venues in the schedule this year. You will remember that due to Corona, IPL was limited to a few cities.

How many matches will be played in 1 day?
This time also there will be double headers 16 days double headers will be played 32 matches BCCI was not in favor of double headers but had to keep it because this year total matches were only 60 days because people do not like to watch two matches together in weekend Could be less so BCCI didn’t want but had to.

What will be the timing of the schedule?
This time also the timing of the schedule has not changed, the afternoon match will be played at 3:30 pm which will be played by double headers and the evening match will be played at 7:30 pm.
Timings
No change in timings afternoon games will begin at 3:30 p.m. and evening games will begin at 7:30 p.m.
